Hubergroup introduces universal UV-ink to the market
On many of the current UV-sheetfed offset machines, very different substrates are being printed on. To reach the optimal outcome, switching between inks and ink systems is needed more often than not. Hubergroup has now invented an UV offset ink series which combines the traits of several printing ink series.
Hubergroup highlights the following features of their new color New V maxx: Very good printability, optimal transfer, simple handling on the printing machine, easy cleanability combined with a good dot definition, plus good wet-in-wet-properties.
Thanks to the specially developed pigment technology, the inks have a high transparency and are thus suitable for printing on metallised paper and cartonage for cosmetic-, perfume- and spirits packaging. The adhesion properties on plastic materials like PE, PS, PVP and PP are said to be equivalent to those of a classic UV-foil ink. Hubergroup also states that the prints can undergo lamination and hot foil stamping without any problems. Coating can be done in- or offline with either water based dispersion or UV.
Compared with other UV-ink for non-absorbent substrates, New V maxx exhibits a better scrub resistance. According to hubergroup, the new universal UV-ink is also suitable for sleeve and label printing on glass and PET bottles.
