Customers at the botspot-Store may also purchase 3D-printers plus OEM accessories. Models like ¡°Delta Tower¡±, ¡°Ultimaker¡±, ¡°Solidoodle¡±, ¡°I3-Berlin¡± or ¡°Makerbot¡± can be bought, starting at 800 Euro.
According to the company, demand is already rising for 3D-copies of persons. One of the biggest 3D-Scanners of the world, sporting 60 cameras, is stationed in the botspot-store. Customers will be scanned from all sides at only 0.01 seconds. A software then renders the images into a 3D model. A special printer then creates true-color figurines of up to 45 centimeters.
¡°Madame Tussaud is going to have problems¡±, says Manfred Ostermeier, Botspot manager. ¡°From now on, people may not only marvelk at George Clooney, Angelina Jolie or Barack Obama in 3D, but also at themselves. Plus they can buy their own 3D printing machines and print at home to their own desire. This is going to be taken for granted in the future ¨C and it starts at our place.¡±
