Heidelberg starts series production for the Speedmaster XL 75 Anicolor
Heidelberg has announced series production for the Speedmaster XL 75 Anicolor. The technology made its debut at drupa 2012 and successfully passed field tests involving commercial and packaging printers. Thanks to stable inking-up, the machine cuts paper waste by up to 90 percent.
The first machines were already delivered to commercial and packaging printers in Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Strong points include a high level of automation, comprehensive range of special configurations, and a high quality of the printing product. The Anicolor is currently being rolled out as a straight-printing press, while the perfecting press is planned for fall 2014.
Heidelberg showcases the machine in its Print Media Center in Heidelberg and at the Print and Packaging Technology Center in Atlanta. Furthermore, the XL 75 Anicolor will be a focal point of the Info Day on ¡°Special applications in commercial printing¡± taking place in mid-March in Heidelberg.
